La premi\u00e8re partie l\u2019oeuvre fait entendre cet office dont plusieurs fragments sont trait\u00e9s \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d&rsquo;organa ou de d\u00e9chants, afin d&rsquo;\u00e9voquer les pratiques polyphoniques primitives, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement improvis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Au centre de l&rsquo;oeuvre, un Magnificat, pour six voix d&rsquo;hommes, orgue, cornet et \u00e9lectronique se d\u00e9ploie, dans une mise en musique originale, recourant \u00e0 des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s d&rsquo;\u00e9criture polyphonique contrast\u00e9s et reliant \u00e0 la fois le mat\u00e9riau gr\u00e9gorien, les sonorit\u00e9s de l&rsquo;orgue m\u00e9sotonique et des cornets \u00e0 bouquin, mais aussi, celles des cloches de l&rsquo;\u00c9glise de la Chapelle enregistr\u00e9es et trait\u00e9es par le Centre Henry Pousseur.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La derni\u00e8re partie de l\u2019oeuvre, synth\u00e8se et conclusion \u00e0 la fois, s&rsquo;ouvre librement sur l&rsquo;antienne Nigra sum, sed formosa, provenant du Cantique des Cantiques (Cant 1,5), tout comme Tota pulchra es, amica mea. L&rsquo;encha\u00eenement est mis en \u00e9vidence par la pr\u00e9sence des voix de dix r\u00e9citantes faisant entendre, chacune dans leur langue, ces deux fragments du Cantique des Cantiques. Apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;h\u00e9breu, langue originale du texte, le grec et l&rsquo;arm\u00e9nien, le texte est r\u00e9cit\u00e9 dans de nombreuses langues, qui sont aujourd&rsquo;hui parl\u00e9es les diff\u00e9rentes communaut\u00e9s qui constituent nos cit\u00e9s contemporaines.
