Partant de l&rsquo;incipit des V\u00eapres de l&rsquo;Assomption &#8230;(telles que retrouv\u00e9es \u00e0 la biblioth\u00e8que du dioc\u00e8se de Cambrai auquel \u00e9tait rattach\u00e9e la Chapelle au XIII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle), le musicien signe ainsi un office imaginaire ancr\u00e9 dans la tradition gr\u00e9gorienne et la m\u00e9moire po\u00e9tique, avec des variations formelles croissant, \u00e0 chaque volet, en invention et en libert\u00e9, mais dans un m\u00eame mat\u00e9riau musical: la voix &#8211; les six chanteurs de Psallentes, rejoints par des voix parl\u00e9es de femmes -, l&rsquo;orgue, le cornet et l&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique. Imm\u00e9moriale et proche, l&rsquo;oeuvre est hypnotique. L&rsquo;encha\u00eenement est mis en \u00e9vidence par la pr\u00e9sence des voix de dix r\u00e9citantes faisant entendre, chacune dans leur langue, ces deux fragments du Cantique des Cantiques. Apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;h\u00e9breu, langue originale du texte, le grec et l&rsquo;arm\u00e9nien, le texte est r\u00e9cit\u00e9 dans de nombreuses langues, qui sont aujourd&rsquo;hui parl\u00e9es les diff\u00e9rentes communaut\u00e9s qui constituent nos cit\u00e9s contemporaines.
